We used the "fun first" philosophy when designing the Malibu Two XL. It is slightly longer than the original Malibu Two so it tracks better and has more legroom and capacity. The XL is also a bit wider for a drier ride and more stability.

We have the Ocean Kayak Rudder kit designed for the Ocean Kayak Prowler Trident 11, 13 or 15.
Easily adapted to Tetra, Prowler 13, Prowler Big Game, Prowler Big Game II and other Ocean Kayaks.
This rudder kit can include new foot pedals and also new tracks to mount them on.
Your kayak will need to have 4 nuts molded into the stern of your kayak; these will hold the Ocean Kayak rudder bracket included in this kit.

Hobie Twist-N-Seal Round Hatch Kit
We have two hatches to pick from. These are installed on a flat surface by cutting a hole big enough for the hatch to fit into. Fits lots of kayaks. Hardware included.
These Round hatches fit on any flat surface. Used on many Hobie models and other brand kayak models.
This kit can allow you to retrofit a hatch if your model came with a recessed FLAT area but not an actual hatch. OR a suitable flat area anywhere on your kayak. As long as the flat area is at least as large as the outer rim of the hatch.

The 6 inch Twist-N-Seal hatch system was standard on some Hobie models but can also be installed in suitable flat area. The easy to open T-handle design makes storage in the cavity of your boat easy. This Hatch includes an inner ring, foam gasket and 6 stainless steel mounting screws.
6 inch Twist-N-Seal Hatch:: the inner opening is about 6", the lid is about 7", overall size to edge of outer rim is 9".

The 8 inch Twist-N-Seal hatch system was standard on some Hobie models but can also be installed in suitable flat area. The easy to open T-handle design makes storage in the cavity of your boat easy. This Hatch includes an inner ring, foam gasket and 8 stainless steel mounting screws.

Ocean Kayak Round Hatch Kit
We have two hatches to pick from. These are installed on a flat surface by cutting a hole big enough for the hatch to fit into. Fits lots of kayaks. Hardware included.
These Round hatches fit on any flat surface. Used on many Ocean Kayak models and many other brand kayak models.
This kit can allow you to retrofit a hatch if your model came with a raised FLAT hump but not an actual hatch. OR a suitable flat area anywhere on your kayak. We have even used these on the float tank chamber of canoes for bow and stern storage.
The 6 inch Cam Lock hatch system was standard on some Ocean Kayak models but can also be installed in the same area you would install an optional 6 inch hatch with cat bag. The easy to open T-handle makes storage in the cavity of your boat quick and easy to access.
Ocean Kayak says the Round Cam-Lock style fits the Big Yak, Caper, Drifter, Frenzy, Mars, Mysto, Peekaboo, Prowler 15, Scupper Pro TW, Venus 10 and Zest Two EXP. We have used these hatches on the Prowler 13 and the Old Town Predator XL. We have used both these hatches on the Heron 9 or Heron 11 that did not come with a hatch on the rear deck (not Heron XT.)
The mounting holes for these hatches are in the same place, aka line up with each other, so it is likely to switch one in place of the other.

The 6 inch Screw-in Hatch with cat bag: the inner opening is about 6", the lid is about 6 3/8", overall size to outer edge of the rim is about 8".
The 6 inch Cam-Lock Hatch: the inner opening is about 5 3/8", the lid is about 5 7/8", overall size to outer edge of the rim is about 8".

Ocean Kayak OVAL Gaspachi Hatch Kit
This 17.25 by 10.5 inch rubber style push-on hatch fits certain Ocean Kayak models. This may replace your old hatch.
This kit can allow you to retrofit a hatch if your model came with a raised oval hump molded in the plastic but not an actual hatch. You would cut an oval hole in the top of the hump and then fit this hatch onto the remaining plastic rim.
Hatch Dimensions: 16 1/2 x 9 3/8 inches I.D. and 10 1/2 X 17 1/4 inches O.D.
This new Ocean Kayak Kit includes one Oval Gaspachi hatch with integral tether, hardware and instructions. Ocean Kayak says this 10.5" x 17.25" push-on hatch fits some Scrambler XT (bow) and Zest Two EXP (stern, center) models. May fit other older models but we know it does not fit the center oval on the Malibu II XL.

Ocean Kayak Gear Strap, Hatch Strap Kit
This Strap kit is standard issue on certain Ocean Kayak models such as Scupper PRO, Malibu, Yak Board, Caper, Scrambler, and many more. This Strap kit works Great on ANY kayak brand or model.
On some kayak models this kit is used as a Gear Strap.
Pass the strap over top of, or thru the handle of your cooler, dry bag or crate and cinch it down.
This strap is mounted to the kayak and will hold your Gear very secure.

On other kayak models this kit is used as a Hatch Strap.
Add Extra security to any existing hatch by running this strap over the hatch for extra hold down power so it cant peel off in rough water, or while driving at highway speeds.
Pass the strap over top of your Hatch and cinch it down.
This strap is mounted to the kayak and will hold your Hatch very secure.

This may replace your old hatch strap OR gear strap on ANY kayak model.
Strap is 1.5 inches wide. Overall Strap Length is adjustable from 6 inches to 32 inches long.
Includes Hardware.
Blind rivets pass thru the oversized washer and then thru the small hole in each strap end, and then into the kayak.
Clench the rivets with your rivet gun and Voila! Your Strap Kit is Secure.

The included blind rivets are good to use regardless if you have access inside the kayak hull or not. Nuts and bolts may be swapped for the rivets but you will need access inside the kayak to tighten the nuts. Some Ocean Kayak models may have existing threaded inserts molded into the plastic hull. These mounting points require special 10-32 hardware.

Patent pending valve designed to help keep water from entering via the scuppers AND to drain any water that may come over the side while you are paddling.

Gray, thermo-molded rubberized foam provides Excellent back support with a thick padded seat for even more comfort.
The extra thick seat pad provides a drier ride and great support.
The Comfort PRO kayak seat is Very durable, low maintenance and easy to keep clean.
The Comfort PRO kayak seat attaches to your kayak via four adjustment straps with brass snap clips (two going forward and two going to rear).
These snap clips attach to properly located "pad eyes" which are already on all "Ocean Kayak" models made within the past several years.
If you have some other brand kayak you may need to add pad eyes to hold the backrest properly.
We sell these "pad eyes" with hardware lower on this web page if you need some.

Considered to be our most comfortable and supportive seat back, designed for all day fun on the water.
The Comfort Zone kayak seat is taller in the back and more generous on the bottom.
The closed cell molded foam used in this seat is still slightly flexible but more firm than our other models, providing additional back support when you really lean back.
The Comfort ZONE kayak seat attaches to your kayak via four adjustment straps with brass snap clips (two going forward and two going to rear).
