Perception Seat Pad kit
A good Seat Pad provides padding inside the cockpit so your rear is not against hard, unforgiving plastic.
Found on lots of good kayaks made by Perception. Also fits tons of different brands and models. Our complete kit is an excellent replacement for the old seat pad, or a new installation.
Perception special Pad design offers enough pad thickness to make a day on the water comfortable. Durable and easy to clean. Seat Pad is 15" wide x 12" long.

Hardware included. Easy Install.
Using the new seat pad as a template, drill 1/4 inch holes in the seat pan to match the existing holes in the new seat pad. With holes lined up, insert 6 push-in plastic rivets to permanently hold the new seat pad in place.

Perception Seat, BackRest replacement
Need a new backrest? These fit lots of Perception kayaks. We have the Basic style and the Deluxe style. We have seen these backrests used in models such as Swifty, Streak, America, Sierra, Caspia, and some versions of the Prodigy, Manatee, Carolina, Acadia and more. For example; one version of Prodigy may have the groove and another does not. The critical element is that you have a groove at least 9” for the backrest to fit into. This groove has a slight curve, and it does vary from 9 to 12” from model to model, or year to year. The critical element is that you have a groove at least 9” for the backrest to fit into.
Simple to install... Generally you can use your existing back adjustment strap and bungee for the Basic or Deluxe. Just run the strap and the bungee thru the keepers on the rear of the new backrest.

The Deluxe Tall Backrest fits models using Perception's Type A seatback design. The Deluxe is well padded and also has a nice contour shape that provides excellent back support to make a full day on the water much more comfortable and supportive. Definitely a significant upgrade from the Econo type backrest that many Perception models came with. The Econo style Perception backrest was made with very thin flexible plastic and did not usually last very long before warping or cracking.
The Deluxe is a much thicker and much more sturdy replacement you can lean on with really good support.

Type A Deluxe Tall Backrest: (one backrest with Pad.) The bottom of this backrest fits down into a single groove at least 9" long in the seat pan.
Re-use your existing strap to adjust the backrest lean and also re-use the bungee cord to hold the backrest down into the groove in the seat pan. A new strap is included with this backrest. Good Padding on this backrest.
Deluxe Tall Backrest: Width 15", Height 14", thickness @ 3 inches. $89.95 each.
